It’s an expectation of ease. A game is accessed with a screen, profits earned with keystrokes. An online casino offers convenience — with you able to inject thrills into your hours, join virtual tables from the comforts of home. It’s an ideal arrangement… until you become distracted.

Strategies are studied; tutorials are consulted. You seek information while rounds are being played. And the result is lagging speeds and hesitation, with you trying to manipulate the cards as they’re tossed. You stall every hand. You force others to wait.

And a flurry of messages is sent to your account because of this. None of them are flattering.

It’s an all too simple thing for players to be lulled by online gambling. It lacks the structure of its brick and mortar counterparts, doesn’t demand vigilance. Games are played from home, and this removes all sense of formality.

It doesn’t, however, remove the need for proper etiquette.

There are countless rules that define gaming — but none are more vital than the ones of speed. Rounds are meant to be efficient. Individuals must remember therefore to be aware of their surroundings. All games should be accomplished quickly. Forcing others to wait is as rude as it is tedious; and it’s a breach of etiquette that must be refused.

The rounds must be fast. This is both a necessity and a courtesy.
